CHALLENGE

The client, a renowned ready-meal manufacturer, faced the challenge of improving packaging process efficiency. This required a solution that would enable fast and precise wrapping of product trays with cardboard sleeves. Additionally, the process had to accommodate several different tray formats and guarantee quick and smooth handling of changing configurations on the production line.

The goals set for us are:

  • Tray wrapping: Efficient wrapping of trays of various sizes and shapes in cardboard wraparound.
  • Alignment and positioning: Precise positioning of trays in the sleever machine and their rapid introduction into the wrapping process.
  • Flexibility and speed: Process optimization enabling easy adaptation to different tray formats while maintaining high production speed.
  • Bypass: a conveyor enabling tray transport and orientation without using a sleever-type machine

"We're not afraid of new challenges - we knew that together with the Client we would find the optimal solution"

SOLUTION

The SleeveMaster solution delivery included a specialized tray feeding system into the sleever, which automatically aligned and precisely positioned the product in the appropriate location. Thanks to the adjustable mechanism, the machine could handle different tray sizes, and the fast cardboard sleeve wrapping system ensured throughput of 120 pieces per minute. Process optimization allowed for achieving high flexibility, which was crucial for the client in the context of dynamic production changes.
Specific client requirements - universal capabilities. SleeveMaster was created based on specific client requirements, but its modular design enables rapid implementation in other processes and adaptation to different production needs.
